I met Nadine in early 2010, in a two-week workshop in Glasgow. Those two weeks became a turning point in my life. My body understood the connection between myself as an always changing person, my voice with its endless possibilities and how this way of working connects to a text, to different kinds of situations and relations between oneself and fellow actors on a non-psychological level that gives more creative freedom.
I have an MA in Acting and I am an accredited teacher in NGVW. I work as a lecturer in Voice and Speech at the Uniarts Helsinki’s Theatre Academy in Finland. The Nadine’s Voice Work is the foundation upon which the voice training at the Swedish degree program in acting, is built. I also give workshops for alumni on a regular basis where I furthermore have the possibility to develop the work for.
In my own artistic development as an actress, I use Nadine’s work. It gives me the chance to meet myself in a creative process instead of meeting the image of myself or my expectations of myself and that is so much more exciting and fulfilling.
