I first met Nadine in the late 1980’s in Odense at the Acting School there, where I worked as a voice- and textteacher. I attended her class one day, and saw and heard the voice work for the first time. As a singing- and voice teacher at the school I found it important to meet her and attend her class.

She worked with a male student with the male sound ‘ah’ upwards. All of a sudden a enormous opening of his voice took place – as a singer myself I had never heard anything like it. So I had to know the secret behind. I went to her workshops in London for many years, in order to experience the voicework myself. And I got permission/accreditation to use Nadines technique in my voicework with the actors and singers that I taught.

I do teach on and off, but I also write about my knowledge of the voicework including what I learned from Nadine’s workshops and my own work. I am studying the neurological impact of the voicework, the breathing connected to the Vagus Nerve (Stephen Porges), and the calmdown of the nervous system – inspired by the story of Alfred Wolfsohn.
