A two week’s workshop from the 5th to the 16th of October in London on the “Voice and the Analysis and Working on the Shakespearian Text”
This workshop is open to directors and actors.
We will work on a scene from Shakespeare.
We will work from 10am to 5pm each day with a break of an hour for lunch and a break of twenty minutes each day. We will not be working in the weekends.
In the first week.
On Monday morning we will start with a short introduction of everyone in the workshop
We will work on the breathing work on the floor with two people working together and then work with the breathing work in the space.
We will then have twenty minutes break and then work on the voice warm up. This will be singing in the body four qualities of sound and linking this with four phrases of the Shakespearian text.
Then everyone will work on each quality of sound from Monday to Thursday.
On the Friday we will work on the breathing work on the floor and in the space and the voice warm up. Then we will concentrate on the work on the scene.
In the second week
From Monday to Friday we will work with on the breathing work on the floor, the breathing in the space and the voice warm up. Then we will work on the scene from a classic text.
In the end of the afternoon of the Friday we will have time for discussion about the workshop.
For the workshop on the “Voice and the Analysis and Working on the Shakespearian Text” We will spend more time on the analysis of the Shakespearian text as well as doing the rest of the work.
I will take 12 people in these workshops so that a high quality of work can be done.
The price of the workshop is £1200, A deposit of £100 should be paid two months before the beginning of the workshop to secure your place in the workshop. The deposit is not refundable. The rest of the fee should be paid a month before the beginning of the workshop.
